Many immigrants require individual guidance, especially when dealing with complex medical issues. Each workshop is tailored to the needs of the population, and includes a 1 hour frontal presentation, followed by a 25 minute Q&A. We bring workshops to various communities in Israel and abroad. These workshops are highly effective in providing important general information and terminology that are utilized daily when interacting with the medical system. Our workshops enable us to educate the immigrant community about their healthcare rights, and how to access medical care. ![]() The Shira Pransky Project also facilitates information sharing and networking through its active Facebook group, Navigate the Israeli Healthcare System. ![]() Some guide topics include infertility, cancer patients, and children with special needs. These guides include clear and comprehensive information on medical rights, healthcare benefits, and tips and tricks of how to properly access them through the HMOs. ![]() In addition to our translated articles, SPP has created its own “guides” which help walk immigrants through the process of complex medical situations. This has become the primiere resource for immigrants in Israel to be informed about their healthcare rights, with over 160,000 users yearly. SPP has translated over 700 articles on healthcare and medical rights into English, creating the “All-Right Index” in collaboration with Kol Zchut. The Shira Pransky Project’s community education initiatives include both our informational resources and our workshop program.
